Crafts and kids. It seems it’s all about glitter glue and foam cutouts. There’s nothing inherently wrong with that (though there might be some eco arguments against it). Still, I’m looking for more variety in my future crafting adventures with Birdie. Hartia Toys Couplicoles provides a perfect packet of fun. It’s worth several different crafting adventures over many snow day afternoons. Based in Quebec, this toy company focuses on the “cut-fold’n-stick” approach to making things. I like them already. Plus the great illustrations and simple twists of paper turn each flat sheet – you’ll find 12 and instructions – into lovable animals. Take a peak at some sample downloads at Hartia’s website. The Forest Set shown here just debuted at New York’s Toy Fair last week (expect to find it available later this spring), meanwhile you’ll find many more options over at Moolka.
