The fox and the polar bear (or, Mr. Fox and Mrs. PB)

by mari

I hardly know where to start with this post – there are too many wonderful things to say. Maybe it’s best to begin with the basics. See, there’s this fox, Mr. Fox, with a rather unconventional attachment to one polar bear, Mrs. PB (as she’s known by those who, well, know her). They’re very very British. She loves baked beans and wielding her rolling pin. He on the other hand, seems to give preferential treatment to his Vespa. And there are these adventures. Oh the adventures. An art heist, safe house, chemistry experiments gone awry, a G3 summit, trips to Antartica, classical reenactments, a magical pocket, dinosaurs, and so much general mischief. Thank heavens their keepers, Ms. Emily and Mr. Tom, are allowed one photo per day and the written/audio narration to go along with it (equally important, I assure you). Luckily for us newbies they’ve been at it for a couple of years so we have lots to catch up on.

To get you started, peruse their blog, the fox and the polar bear. But because that’s still an awfully new bit of technology for these two old-fashioned sorts, you’ll see all of their antics best at their flickr site (including the audio links). I prescribe one image and audio per night, from here on out. If you can stop at just one, I can’t.
Want to learn even more? See their only interview (very enlightening) at Anorak Magazine. You can also read a bit more about Miss Emily and Mr Tom’s side of the story at Charlotte’s Fancy. What’s your favorite scene? I’m enjoying the whirlwind conclusion to Safe House.

Oh my gosh!

Somehow I’m not sure we’ve ever seen your lovely post until now!

Mr Fox and Mrs PB are truly touched.

We’ve taken bit of a break this last year, but are beginning to start chronicling Mr Fox and Mrs PB’s lives more regularly again. We’ve still not properly sorted the website, but we’ve made some progress.

You’ve inspired us to do some more audio recordings too.

Thanks again!
