soopsori wooden chef set

Though I am the first to admit that I rarely consider spending more than $50 on a toy (at least for young Birdie, who’s toy attention span is scant at best) I am oggling this Soopsori Wooden Chef Set ($85). I know I’ve been on a wooden toy kick lately, but like I said in this top toy trends post it’s a trend! And I’m a sucker for a trend like this one – wood toys have so many merits. This wooden food playset includes all the  makings of tea, toast, and eggs for two. The company uses up to 20 varieties of wood to bring added warmth through texture and scent. Mmm.  They also have a birthday cake food playset ($60), which could make the perfect birthday gift, and the right excuse to splurge on a little extra quality.

LOVE this!!! So much of the ‘play food’ out there is so junky!! I would definitely buy this if our daughter was younger.

This is exactly the kind of quality and paedagocial value young parents are looking for. So sorry that not every family can afford it.
