Vintage Fisher Price Crush

I went wandering around some suburban garage sales with little hope of discovering my favorite kind of find: truly old stuff. I was trying to focus instead on toddler gear. Out of the blue on a cul de sac I came across this Vintage Fisher Price House in great shape, with figures and furniture. Yessiree I’ll take it!

What would you say was your best find to date?

This is awesome…I’d love to find old Little People things. Did you know they recalled all of them (choking hazard.) Our whole generation seemed to do well with them…So I’d let Miloh use them if I had them.

Yep, they’re all too small to pass the rattle test gauge. Have you seen the reissue of the classics? The Little People have been Super-Sized – much like our new generation of McDonald’s-addicted kids.
See my post on the reissues here: http://smallforbig.com/2009/09/memories-and-do-overs.html

That is a GREAT find. I had a house just like yours, except mine was yellow. Had the same kitchen floor and everything.

Ah. The memories…

Man, those memories become such an important part of parenting, don’t they? Hence the success of the new and “improved” My Little Ponies, Strawberry Shortcake, etc. . . .

Guess! haha. Did you notice the table in the dining area is actually an overturned silicone pinch bowl from our kitchen? ;)
