thanks for being an awesome book

For a millisecond, I actually consdered trying to write this entire post as a big rhyming poem. I  just finished reading An Awesome Book of Thanks!, with rhymes so silly, I wish I could mimic them.  You might have seen me gushing about his first book, An Awesome Book. He’s got an amazing knack for taking super sacharine sweet subjects (believing in dreams, saying thank you) and pumping them up into hilarious, funky, illustrative creations. But don’t worry,  they’re still sweet and make you smile inside. In a season that’s all about giving thanks, this picture book’s a win-win. Besides, anytime an author starts talking about girelephants in silly hats and gigantic candy-colored dino machines, he’s got me hooked.
