Wishbone Design's Wooden 3 in 1 convertible balance bike for young kids and children

We’ve made it through the ages and stage portion of the gift guides. So today it’s time for my favorites of the favorites: Modern Kid Classics. These are the toys every child needs to have, in my humble opinion. With some leeway allowed for boys versus girls, if you’d like. Here’s the link to all of the goodies:

One of my favorite – and recent -finds is the Wishbone Balance Bike. Have you heard of Balance Bikes? It’s the new way to help your kids develop balance on 2 wheels. If they learn with a push bike like this one, then when they move to a larger pedal bike – they won’t need training wheels! It’s such a smart idea. There are several other brands who make them, but I think Wishbone Design’s Bike is the only bike that is 3 bikes in 1. It will start with your 1 year old as a three-wheeler, then graduates to a low-seat 2-wheeler as your tot hits 2 or 3, then moves to a high-seat 2-wheeler until your youngin’ is around 5 years old. For $229, that’s 4 or 5 years of play value. Take a peek at some of their fabulous pattern designs for the surface of the wood as well. They’re gorgeous.
Make sure to devour all of the gift guides – babies, toddlers, preschool, tweens, and debuting in a few days: a round up of stocking stuffers!

seems totally worth it, when you consider cost of tricycle, bicycle, training wheels….and all the effort to get them off the training wheels. I wish I had gone this route! let’s catch up soon, miz big – did i win any of the give aways? (do i even qualify?)
