go stuff it in your egg

Sonny Angel Collectible Vinyl Art Toys for Your Easter Basket

Mmm mmm Easter. Magical Bunnies? Candy? Hunting for shiny bits and bobs on a (hopefully) sunny spring morn? Count me in. However, filling plastic eggs with ten pounds of sugar isn’t always so appealing. How about some of these more unusual toys? Not only are they unique, they’re totally on trend. As if we care about that sort of thing.

(image above and below) Sonny Angel Collection: This series of Kewpie-esque plastic figurines comes in fruit, crown, or animal themes. Each doll has wings on the back and a themed hat. There’s something about them that charms the pants right off of me, I guess it’s the urge to match their own pantless state? (note, these guys are anatomically correct, just an fyi!)

Tokidoki Cactus Pups – Tokidoki is everywhere these days. Beyond the original graphics, you can now find makeup at Sephora, clothing, iPhone Skins, etc. etc. I still like the little figures the best, like these petite cactus pups – totally tiny, and totally adorable.

Iwako Japanese Erasers – Have you noticed this craze? I. Love. It. Miniature food of all shapes and minute sizes – ready to erase your mistkaes. Not that I’d ever actually erase a dang thing with them, but the softness of the material really adds to their charm. These are popping up in the cooler toy stores, but you can also find some cute knock-offs in Target’s Easter bins this season.
