Herve Tullet Unique Modern French Interactive Children's Books from Phaidon Publishers

Two years have passed since I started Small for Big. Can you believe it? 600 posts?! That’s unreal! This silly little blog has become – in equal parts – an addiction and a very good friend. I thoroughly enjoy talking with all you, creating a place to share my favorite things, gabbing about the latest and greatest, learning a ton of new things in areas I never expected, and even finding a little bit of work along the way. I wouldn’t change a thing. Well, maybe a couple of things here and there. You know, the day the site went down because I changed the wrong code. Little things.

But now it’s time to celebrate and share some of the joy! Every day this week there will be a giveaway, and you can and shall enter each and every one of them.

Our first giveaway is from one of my all-time favorite book publishers, Phaidon. Their art books are outstanding – beautiful, informative, and contemporary. (I’m especially fond of Sculpture Today). And Phaidon’s growing children’s collection is full of original finds, with a European Je ne sais quoi, and a timeless air.

One lucky winner will win a complete set of French Children’s Book Author Hervé Tullet’s Let’s Play Games books. There are 6 in total, and each book turns traditional reading into an interactive experience. It’s a prize valued at around $54.

The Game of Mix and Match lets kids imagine unusual collaborations between planes, elephants, hearts, lemons, etc, when they mix and match the pages. The Game of Let’s Go (image up up above) features a fuzzy flocked green line – close your eyes and let your fingers read the book and make up the adventure! The Game of Mix Up Art (image up above) does just that, letting your kids create new combinations of different original paintings with uneven pages and flaps. The Game of Finger Worms asks your fingers to hide in the unlikeliest of places – like a piece of cake. The Game of Light lets you play in the dark, with a flashlight, and your diecut pages. And The Game of Patterns lets your children spy the differences between two almost-matching images. Watch the video below to see some adorable kids enjoy time with Mr. Tullet and his books.

UPDATE ::: Please note this giveaway is for US and Canada Residents only. So sorry I didn’t mention this right away!

i like the game of light book best…we’ve got a kiddo who’s pretty scared of the dark, so i really enjoy the idea of making it fun for him.

I’d say the Game of Finger worms since my daughter really enjoys putting her widdle finger in those holes and wiggling it around. Not enough books give that type of interactive level.
