look, a book, called look! a book!

For my generation, the best way to describe Look! A Book! by Bob Staake is to first whisper the words “Where’s Waldo?”. But I love this newer take on things – where everything is a hidden gem, with tons of options to keep your entire family of eyes busy for hours. It helps that it’s also readable – with rhyming clues and questions to help guide you and your young readers through. Plus, there are little holes diecut throughout the book so you can peek ahead, while they highlight areas of each massive illustration. Though we don’t have this one yet, I have it on good authority that it’s worth the get (thanks Sam!).
