I’m working hard this week to let go of my weird tendencies to want to plan every second of my summer. Does this happen to you? There are all these things I want to do, things I think I’ve been secretly planning in my head since … oh … Christmas! It’s not good. TIme to chillax, as they say. But of course, this week’s links are full of even more things I want to do! Silly me, I’m always into something.
What about you guys, what are your big hopes and plans for this summer?
Top links online this week:
- First of all, thank you to Stephanie at Modern Parents Messy Kids for including my paper hat tutorial (image above) in diy paper hats link over at momtastic. I love all of her choices – such a variety!
- I am sooooo making some of these totally throwback 80’s satin ribbon braided barrettes. Do you remember these? I sure do. I don’t think I ever made them as a kid, so now’s my time to shine! via Sophie & Lill.
- We’ve been practicing Miss Mary Mack over here, and I’d almost forgotten the extra cool hand moves. Thank God for Classic Play’s excellent Miss Mary Mack tutorial!
- I’m obsessed with Mo Willems and his growing empire of wonderful children’s books, see an interview with Mo Willems over at People’s Celebrity Babies site. (wha? nah, no, of course I don’t read things on that site all the time. Nuh-Uh.)
- Bloesem Kids shares a sweet tutorial to make your own CD Labyrinth. I can see some grat custom party favors coming out of this idea!

Love Mo Willems. We’re especially fond of Elephant and Piggy around here as they helped my guy learn to read!
