Friendship bracelet DIY Tutorials for Kids and fashionable gals too

I have spent the entire week looking forward to the weekend. I’m not usually that person anymore (so long, day job!)  but I’m primed and raring to go for a good old fashioned road trip. Now if I can just figure out what to pack. I really didn’t full understand the added baggage that comes from adding a child to your travel plans. Thank god we’re not trying to get on a plane. What are you doing with your Fourth of July this year?

This week’s best finds around the web:

  • (image above) Like Stephanie, I loved friendship bracelets as a girl, and her round-up of all the coolest contemporary DIY friendship bracelets is totally awesome. The photo I chose above is the more classic version, but believe me, there are some good-enough-for-us stunners in this post as well.
  • Gorgeous paper animation plus a Belle and Sebastian song? Perfect match. Found via Lil’Magoolie.
  • In honor of summer, and my favorite rolling stock, this DIY Camper Printable includes your RV, your campfire, and your lawn chairs. via How About Orange.
  • A beautiful article about the realities of actually really listening to what your children are saying to you. It’s full of good reminders ;)
  • I wanna play with marbles all afternoon after reading this brilliant marble games post over at Classic Play – with ideas great for younger kiddos. Get your marbles and meet me on the sidewalk.
  • Tinker Lab is my new favorite art for kids blog – I’m loving this post about drip painting with kids. (time to find some ketchup bottles, stat!) Found via Childhood 101.

I loved writing that post for Classic Play. Learning to play marbles was so much fun. This is a great roundup thanks for including me (and Classic Play).
