It’s like a little bit of fate. I was just browsing a toy catalog, and saw a plastic toy cash register. Birdie has been really keen on the idea of playing store lately, (probably one too many trips to Target, Le Sigh), and I’m considering suggesting it to Santa. But I thought to myself, why haven’t I seen a wooden one, there’s got to be one somewhere, right? I always prefer wood to plastic when we can get the same play value. Then Lo and Behold, the Educo Fresh Food Market Cash Register, $30 appears in front of me. This cash register not only has your regular features – buttons, cash drawer, paper receipts, but it also has a scanner and a credit card machine. Modern-day wonders, I tell you. The Educo Cash Register also comes with paper money, coins, a membership card, and a credit card. (Though around my house, we’ve got several random junk mail credit cards already in play!) Educo also makes a Fresh Food Market stand to display all of your goods, but I think we’ll use one of our favorite materials – cardboard – and get a little creative instead.

This is adorable! Thanks for sharing your find!
Yay! Glad you like it too!
I was looking for something just like this but everything I found was made of plastic. :( Thanks for the find! Love this.
Wonderful! Glad I could help!
I have been searching for this cash register since just before Christmas. Everyone is sold out. Where were you able to find it?
Unfortunately I ran into the same problem in the end! When I did the post it was easier to find. Now, it must be discontinued? :(
If you ever find it, let me know!
