Open ended Modern Playhouse from Apartment THerapy

I have this strange sense of discombobulation this week. It’s like the lack of routine from the holidays is finally catching up to me, and nothing quite adds up in a day. Does anyone else have this feeling? It’s also the nagging sensation that I have several New Year’s Resolutions sitting in my subconscious just waiting to pounce on me. Seriously. I tend to avoid making official resolutions. But this year I suddenly have all these, er, improvements that I’d like to implement. Where to start?!

How about you? What’s your biggest goal for this year? How are you breaking it down into manageable chunks? Please tell!

While we ponder our future better selves, here’s this week’s picks around the web:

  • (image above) An open-ended playhouse by Jenni Juurinen leaves so much open to the imagination, and won’t take up so much visual real estate in your living room.  Found via Apartment Therapy’s new and improved Family Blog (Formerly known as Ohdeedoh!).
  • Etsy Blog’s How-Tuesday tutorial on Micro Mini Planters couldn’t be more timely, I have an entire pot of little Jade plant cuttings that need some tender loving care. Now to find some mini pots! (what a fun thing to hunt down).
  • Did you see Bravo’s Pregnant in Heels with Rosie Pope last year? The pregnancy concierge guru has now created Rosie Pope Maternity Clothing.  So New York. And, Pregnant in Heels has been renewed with a second season to debut sometime this year. It’s one of those, shall we say, guilty pleasures. Found via Babyology.
  • Lil’ Magoolie had way too many good posts this weeks, I just love Maddie’s taste! Check out these Airmail DIY Printable valentines, and also all the amazing Eclectic Gypsland images. Wowsers.
  • I really love the simplicity of the idea behind the little light up houses featured in Modern Kiddo’s Excellent Link Roundup. Thanks to Poppytalk for the DIY tutorial.
  • Skip Hop’s Complete Sheets are brilliant, and now you can find them for even less with their exclusive sets for Target, at $19.99. You won’t even miss the bumpers with these two-print sheets. Thanks Esther, at Buy Modern Baby, for the heads up!
