I know Easter is supposed to be all about new beginnings, baby animals, spring shoots – but lately all I can think about is Spring Cleaning. Which, in a more practical sense, is a rebirth of sorts, right? Now if I can just find a way to Spring Clean my head – like January’s New Year’s Resolutions Part Deux.
First things first thought – this weekend will include some Egg crafting, dying, Easter Bunny espionage, and – get this – a Helicopter Easter Egg Drop. I kid you not. We’ll wrap it up with our slightly odd family tradition – Sunday brunch at Ikea. Wanna know why I’m particularly excited for Ikea’s brunch this year? Birdie is finally POTTY-TRAINED, so we get to let her romp around the kids area for the first time while we shop. I wonder if that will actually work – peace and quiet in Ikea? I don’t know how I’ll handle myself.
Have a green, leafy, sunny, jelly-bean filled long weekend everyone!
This week’s favorite links:
- (image above) Colour Me There (Love Lil’ Magoolie’s new name!) shared this awesome Origami Easter Bunny Printable Card. You can send all my gifts tied with this on top please, thanks!
- Itching for a real origami bunny? How About Orange found a link up to a great tutorial for that too.
- Or, maybe more Easter printables? How about complete gift tag/card sets from Colour Me There, downloadable Coloring Cards from LMNOP and Printable Easter Stickers from Mer Mag?
- Thanks to Modern Kiddo’s unbelievable vintage sensors, I must now hunt down the animated Gay Purr-ee, post haste.
- And, a couple of kids crafts to finish yet this weekend: Vickie Howell’s adorable kids Hand Print Bunny and an easy felt egg decorating idea that looks like a blast for kidlets, from Honest to Nod.
