Luckily I find the sound of “Whoo whoooooo … Whoo.” soothing and calming at 1:00 in the morning. Luckily it makes me think of midnight breezes, rustling spring leaves, and maybe a little moonlight. Because that big owl sitting outside my window every night might be a problem otherwise.
I’m now going to also assume that he has the sweet looks of a Wassup Brothers stuffed owl. Of course, then I’ll have to fight the urge to open my window and invite him in for a cuddle. Which is probably preferable to worrying about my favorite chipmunk hiding in the leaves down below? OH, Mother Nature, you’re so complicated.
