I know, I know, ostriches don’t fly. But when she’s a marionette as cute as this one, and when she’s probably being handled by your youngster, anything’s possible! That open message could probably be the motto of Karni Design’s toys across the board, each one involves a good healthy dose of imagination to bring them to life.
Made in Israel (and shipping to you for $7, in an average of 7-10 days!), these beautes are made of hand-painted laser-cut wood, felt, cotton ribbon, and some lux fabrics. But it’s Karni Design’s innovative ideas that drew my eye. Like the learn to dress doll – the heavy wooden feet and body will really help little ones working hard to focus on the buttons and zippers. I’ve always found the stuffed dress me dolls won’t stay put for frustrated hands! It’s those kinds of easy details that will make these toys a family favorite, and with their sturdy materials I bet they’ll also be a family heirloom.
