a brand new movement worth joining

free downloadable printable paper toy house and neighborhood for kids

I’m pleased as punch to be part of a new website with a wonderful message: The Neighborhood. It’s a community website full of goodies. But it’s more than that, they’re hoping for a revolution.

“We want to spark ACTION. We want to turn neighbor into a VERB. Because every action you do can help grow the connections with the people living around you. Because connected communities are safer communities.”

Isn’t that an amazing concept? We’ve all become so interconnected in the virtual world, but sometimes the real world connections take a back seat. I’m looking forward to being a part of the movement! And to start, we’re featuring a series of collectible printables that will create your own neighborhood. First up is this sweet mid-century mod inspired house. But stay tuned, there will be much more to come. So head over to The Neighborhood, click around, download your house, but then you should get out there and start neighboring!

“Neighboring” can be block partying. It can be potlucking. It can be pick-up basketballing and cup-of-sugar borrowing. It can be lost-dog finding. Front porching. Fourth-of-July fireworking. It’s ice breaking. Play date-ing. Yard sale-ing. Honk-and-waving. Capture the flag-ing. Each others’ back-having.”     – The Neighborhood

Hi, thanks for sharing but it didn’t work when I click on any of the links. It just opens up to a blank screen. Not sure if anyone else is having the same problem.

How strange Rachel, It’s working fine for me right now, but maybe they were having some brand- new-website glitches? If you keep having problems let me know, I want to make sure to let someone on their end know too!

Hi Mari, I tried again some time later and it was alright. I think it was just bad timing and the website may be under maintenance at that time. Anyway, thanks again for the lovely and cute printable.
