Modern Dollhouse - Land of Nod Holiday Exclusive

Oooh boy people. My Mondays and Tuesdays are long days right now. My husband teaches both nights (after working all day), giving me some extra er, quality time, with Birdie. Which means that when I’m writing your Wednesday post the night before – Tuesday night – I’m a little extra brain dead. Let’s see if I can still put words together into semi-complete sentences.

We’re hoping to move within the year. I’m so excited, but I hardly know where to start. Currently I’m just dreaming really really really big over here. I’m in what might be called the honeymoon phase of house-hunting, where it’s easy to believe that we can find what we want without compromising. That’s because I’m mashing together the best of the 20+ houses I bookmarked the other evening. The reality will, most likely, be another story altogether.

I’d prefer to find a house like this exclusive Modern Dollhouse, $199, from Land of Nod. It’s open and airy, with lots of modern touches, natural woodwork, open staircase, and a rooftop patio. You can even get it fully furnished for an additional $149. Plus, it looks like it’d be easy to expand and add-on as your family grows. Compared to the real estate on my wishlist, it’s even affordable.

Love this doll house! It so great that it all fits in the big piece, if you don’t have the room to have it all out. Now I only wish I had not found the plantoy doll house in the trash ;) although I’m not really complaining, just wish it was this one instead!!!

This is a great dollhouse, based on the 2009 design of Mark Allen (wood craftsman) and John M. Cava (architect). I believe Mr. Allen is selling the original handcrafted and signed design. I think there are only about a dozen in existence. I can give you his contact information if you’re interested in having one of the limited edition houses.

Ohhhh, i just read your post on the topic. I’m disappointed to see it’s such a direct knock-off without any contact with the original designers. I’ve worked with Land of Nod and thought they were a bit above that kind of copying. It’s a beautiful house, and THANK YOU for showing us the original!
