experiencing something new

HP SpectreONE AiO Computer

Back in the day, many moons ago, I used to be what I like to all “Cross-Platform”. I could handle both PC’s and Macs, and was proud of the fact that I had no allegiances. My first job in the big bad world was at a sign shop (the name of it is just too hideous to mention, sorry folks) and it was all PC’s, all the time. Even when I moved on to become a toy designer, at first the company I worked at was small enough that the designers had shared access to the 2 Apple computers. We dealt with PC’s at our desks! Wow, things have changed. These days I spend way too much time on my Macbook.

So it’s been fascinating to play with the new HP SpectreOne. I had seen all these beautiful ads for Windows 8 on TV, and wondered what it looked like in person. Turns out it’s super seductive in person too – all those little moving windows keep me a bit distracted actually! But the functionality has come so very far from the last time I spent any real time in front of a PC. Plus, I’m impressed with the overall design of the object itself – it’s a little Mac-esque, but in all the best ways. Super sleek, thin, and the only wire you need is the power cord – everything else is wireless. Eureka! So needless to say, I’m having loads of fun playing with my new gadgets – including the sleek little trackpad.

It’s all thanks to HP, who has asked me to create and share an Experience Board as part of Alt Summit, along with a couple of other amazing bloggers. Take a peek at my progress in the photo below. You’ll see more in the next couple of weeks as I share more images and the final results from Alt Summit. I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with, it’s bound to be super inspirational!

This review is part of a brand ambassador program through HP, for which I received the HP SpectreONE AiO and other products as a thank you   for my participation. All opinions are, of course, my own. Thanks HP!
