Last Minute Halloween DIY Costume Ideas and Crafts - Paper Coloring Masks and Books

For those of you looking for a less-obvious way to be in the Halloween spirit, or perhaps you’d like to sit at the mall and simply spy on all of those crazy kids wandering by, this is just the thing. I want to laugh every time I see it – imagine the reactions you could get! It’s also great for last-minute costume ideas too, check out the Peeping Detective Notebook.

But for the younger set, there are also a couple of fun books full of creative mask fun – perfect for keeping them occupied while they wait for Halloween to actually arrive. I’m loving this small edition mask coloring book from Draw Me A Lion- so many funny details and creative character ideas!

Or, for families with lots of kidlets, pick up one of Mudpuppy’s mask coloring books – there are 4 of each design included in the book, so everyone can color the same thing without fighting! Mudpuppy has an entire series of mask coloring books for kids, but the monster theme feels particularly fitting.

Love this idea! These would be fun to make for a girls night or when I have babysit.
