Have you caught the Kendama craze? It’s like a yoyo times a gazillion. And yet, it’s just some hunks of wood and string. In our digital era, I am mightily impressed with the obssessive qualities Kendamas are invoking. I noticed it this summer, when I watched two brothers (around 6 and 8?) playing with them nonstop while on a family vacation. You get one trick, and you’re itching to try the next one.
Then I found Sweets Kendamas, and I was even happier. Just look at the gorgeous color combinations, the fancy add-ons and limited edition versions, the hipster street cred vibe. Plus, they are manufactured and based right here in the Twin Cities. That’s Minnesota territory for you non natives. Now I’m totally smitten. You’ll just have to check out some of the videos to see what makes this toy so addictive.
I have a sneaky suspicion these Kendama’s may appear in my Christmas gift giving arsenal. They’re just that amazing. Check out Sweets Kendamas for all the coolness.
