Birdie's Birthday

5 years old? Really?! FIVE? Am I a broken record if I say I can’t believe it? Watching Birdie grow and change is such a fascinating thing: the growth spurts, the mental leaps, the developing humor (she’s such a ham!), her ccreative genes, and her loving nature. All of it is wrapped up in a smiling, optimistic, brave, intelligent, stubborn, friendly girl named Wren.  Happy Birthday little birdie!

And today, the weather is so so so cold that she doesn’t even have to go to school. She’s a little disappointed because Montessori school birthdays are very special, but we’ll reschedule as soon as we can. In the meantime, I guess we’ll have to brave the cold to celebrate in some kind of warm and cozy way. Frankly, I’d rather stay home under the blankets!

Thank you Bar!
We snuggled and wasted time in the most luxurious way all morning, then braved the cold in the afternoon to see the movie Frozen (how apropos). What a great day!
