In the past seven days I have drawn about 24 different new product concepts. It’s always a bit overwhelming at first, but simultaneously very invigorating. Once I get going things just flow, and by the end of a good day I feel, well, it sounds cliched, but I feel more alive. It’s funny how I can spend a couple of weeks doing nothing particularly creative and think I’m just fine. But then I take the time to do something big like this and I realize how much better than fine I am when I’m making/designing/creating. But I’ll admit it, now my hand is a bit tired. I think this weekend I’ll be looking forward to not drawing. I wish the forecast was nicer, because sitting outside doing a bunch of nothing sounds just about right at this point!
