round about: crafting the future one link at a time

by mari

This week's top links: homemade tea, kids doodle printables, layered art, diy necklace, illustration, living room yoga mat.

Wow what a whirlwind of a month I’m having! I really feel like this is the year of creative opportunities and new job directions for me: it’s so much fun to see it all happening. This week I spoke at a Communicators Conference with the theme “Craft Your Future”. We talked about my background in toy design, teaching, art making, and blogging; basically how to be creative when finding your creative work. I always have my hands in several pots and I’ve finally learned that’s the best way for me to feel fulfilled. So I shared my approach to keeping things fresh. We also talked blogs. I love talking about blogging, so I think I flooded their minds with 30 minutes of that. If you’re curious, you can see the pdf of the presentation here.

But after a full week of activities and conferencing, I think I’ll go to bed really really early tonight. Maybe I can catch up on all the Alt Summit goodies I’ve been missing tomorrow?
