worth 1000 words: fairy trees

Fairy Houses by Daniel Barreto

So much progress made today on my brand new business – it’s headed your way so very soon! In the meantime, here’s a little something to keep us all going.

We just watched the movie FairyTale: A True Story, which I highly recommend. It focuses on the true tale of some young girls who took photos of real fairies in the early 1920’s, and Birdie is just smitten with the idea. So these fairy houses, created by artist Daniel Barreto, fit right into that world. Birdie would love them. See more images of his fairy houses over at Beautiful Decay.

You know, that’s a great question. Beautiful Decay makes it sound like they’re really carved into trees, but I’m thinking they aren’t – especially when you see the final image in their post with a tiny neon “open” sign in the window.

You’re welcome! Birdie has decided we should watch it every single weekend when we have movie night! Hope you like it too!
