May Day Basket Printable - May Day DIY Craft for Kids - Spring Party Favor baskets | Small for Big

When you were little, did you celebrate the first of May with a neighborhood game of ding dong ditch, leaving May Day baskets with candy and flowers hanging from the doorknobs of the homes in your neighborhood? I can still remember the invigorating feeling of running pell mell back to my house before anyone saw me! Plus, the sweet surprise of getting a basket on my door too was the best feeling.

I love love love these! So fresh and sweet.

When I was little a sweet elderly woman, a patient of my Dad’s, had my sister and I and several other girls over to make and bake for May Day baskets every year. She then drove us to deliver them to our friends. It is such a fond memory.

Thank you for reminding me of May Day!

Wow Lisa, that is such a sweet memory. I love that your Dad helped make it happen, and I’m sure she loved having all of you over. So cool!
