round about: painted gum & rainbow brite

by mari

This week's top links online include painted bubble gum, wood teethers, Frog toys, 3D Printers for kids, Rainbow Brite, and Pointilism Sharpie DIY.

So last week about this time I think I was telling all of you I’m not ready for school to start yet. Well, I’ve changed my mind. We’ve had cool temperatures all week, Birdie has been home all day every day, and all I can think about is warm tea, fall decorations, and a quiet house. Ok, ok, first we’ll try to get to the Minnesota State Fair, and I’d love to have one more day in the splash park or at a beach somewhere. But that’s it, then I’m done. Bring on the Fall!

Meanwhile, round about the internet this week:

  • Except for the idiot that stuck a wad of gum on my car last week, I think I’ll look at pre-chewed gum in an all new way. via Etsy blog.
  • These may be my new favorite wood teethers. via Buy Modern Baby.
  • Sweetheart frogs for the win. via Little Gatherer.
  • One more reason we need a 3D printer: kids can use it too! via Hello, Wonderful.
  • First of all, Hallmark has a blog? Second, Rainbow Brite is back?! via Hallmark’s Think. Make. Share.
  • A modern pointilist art project = I’m in. via Tiny Rotten Peanuts.
