This last week of our summer vacation started out very bland, but I think we turned it around yesterday with a whirlwind trip to the Minnesota State Fair. I cannot believe how much we crammed into about 3 hours of time – because in the end we had to rush out of there to get to Birdie’s new school orientation. Wow, my legs are still so tired I’m afraid to walk anywhere. But it was worth it. Especially later, when I asked Birdie what her favorite part of the fair was, and she told me: “Actually, it wasn’t at the fair. It was my new school.” Mission accomplished.
