yarning it up:
9 kidlet yarn projects for spring

by mari

One of my favorite ways to recharge and get away from my life is to sit down and knit something. It’s the zen of a repetitive task, the thrill of creating something from nothing, and, to be honest, the freedom of following someone else’s creative directions without a lot of creative thought on my part! With Spring approaching, I can’t really commit to hats and other winter gear, so I’ve been gathering up some projects for Birdie. I’m hoping you’ll enjoy seeing all of these gems too.

Share with me in the comments: which one should I make first?! (as if I’ll have time for all of them, ha!)

Knit Hedgehogs, from the Purl Bee

Knit Rabbits Pattern, from Mollie Makes

Alphabet Plush Toys Knit Patterns, from Knit Knoodler

Big Snowy Owl Knit Pattern, from the Purl Bee

Dirk the Dragon / Dinosaur Crochet Pattern, from Laly Lala

Crochet Collar Pattern, from Crochet Latte

Toddler Bunny Slippers Crochet Pattern, from Two Girls Patterns

Loved Crown Knit Pattern, from KnitPicks

I seriously can’t decide what to make (though the crochet patterns will definitely require me to up my crochet skills!) Give me your picks in the comments – I need your help!

I love this post as I’m always looking for charming easy knitting projects that delivery a lot of bang for the buck as far as cuteness is concerned! I might have to make one of those hedgehogs soon!

I agree – I’m not a sweater knitter (though I wish I was!), I prefer some semi instant gratification!
Let me know if you make the hedgehogs, I’m hoping to get some on my needles soon too!
