animal jam paper toy printables – mt. shiveer

by mari

Animal Jam, in association with National Geographic, and Small for Big are wrapping up our partnership! I’ve created 6 different printables for you to download, print, and assemble your own animals and environments: with a different land and its animals featured each month. Today is the sixth and final land in our series.

Animal Jam , in association with National Geographic, is an online virtual playground for kids. Players create and customize their own animal characters and dens, chat with friends, adopt pets, team up for adventures, ask real scientists questions, and feed their curiosity about animals and the natural world around them. All the educational content is free, though there is a membership option for additional play.

The game includes several different lands to explore. In the last couple of months we looked at Appondale, based in the Savannah, and Kimbara, which looks to the outback, The Lost City of Zios, set in the Asian Jungle, Coral Canyon, from the Red Rock Deserts, and the North American deciduous forests in the Sarapiea Forest. This month it’s the frozen tundra of Mt. Shiveer! Download to create your own penguin, wolf, coffeehouse and roaring fire!

Download the Mt. Shiveer Printable Toys

To make the penguin:

  • Cut out the penguin.
  • Fold the head, sides, and the sections that will become the base and stomach..
  • Glue the side tabs between the stomach and legs/arms.

To make the wolf:

  • Cut out the wolf.
  • Fold the head, neck, legs, and tail.
  • Glue the tab from one back leg to the other to help the wolf stay standing.

To make the coffeehouse:

  • Cut out the coffeehouse.
  • Fold the side tabs back

To make the firepit:

  • Cut out the firepit.
  • Fold the side tabs back.
  • Enjoy!

Hi Mari! Thanks for replying to my comment. What I meant to say was if you could create the other areas like Jamaa Township. I really do like using the current paper toys but my concerns are if you are authorized to make more and if you are, can you make the remaining lands like Jamaa Township, Crystal Sands, maybe even the ocean lands. And also, since Thanksgiving is coming up, I would like to thank you for making these amazing toys that I enjoy. By the way, I’m making a story about AJ! Anyways, thanks a lot!

Hello Mari again. =) I would like to know, “How do you get the designs to make the buildings and animals?” The reason I ask this is because I want to make custom paper toys based on a story I’m making. But also, do you think we can have a partnership where I send you the drawing and you make the paper toys? You don’t have to though because I bet you’re very busy doing other things. But if you can ever do it, please notify me by a comment or send me an email at:

Thanks so much and Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi Denny, my partnership with Animal Jam has ended, so there won’t be any new lands to work with. Thanks for your kind words!

If you’d like to talk about a freelance project, why don’t you email me at big at smallforbig.com. We can discuss the details better that way.

Hello Mari. Thank you for responding again. I would like to know how you got the designs for the Animal Jam paper toys. Also, before you say it, I don’t want you to say, “You can go up and click ‘Download Here'” or something like that. I don’t mean it in a mean way it’s just that many times I ask for something and the person says something I don’t want to know. I just wanted to specify. I hope you understand. So what I would like to know how you got the designs because I would like to make Jamaa Township and Crystal Sands for myself. I would also like you to know I am 11 years old, not an adult. I hope this doesn’t affect us working on a freelance project.

Also, I do recommend making the instructions a bit more detailed. Had a lot of trouble with the animals.
