I was watching Birdie practically fly down the street with her new bike the other day (we just graduated to a 20″ salmon pink hottie), and thinking how far she’s come. We started with a balance bike when she was around 3, and I can’t recommend them enough. It was almost exactly a year ago that she made the leap to a pedal bike at 5 1/2: she learned how to ride her bike on the 5th attempt. We never looked back!
So it’s exciting to see a new balance bike entering the market – because I know how wonderful these things are. Meet the Leg&Go Bike, the first bike to adjust and grow with your kids from 8 months to 6 years. One system that supports your kid through 5 years and a ton of growth spurts? That’s pretty amazing.
Leg&Go Bike gets that all accomplished by adjusting the settings of the basic frame – turn it upside down to raise the seat, adjust the angle of the main frame to raise it more, etc. etc. Then eventually you can even add foot rests for downhill coasting, and finally, pedals for that all-important big kid moment. The Leg&Go even has plans to add a trike version, a trailer (oh my goodness, yes please!!!), and a ski bike option. This thing will most definitely keep the kiddos busy.
Stop by Leg&Go’s Kickstarter campaign and help them hit the ground running (such a good analogy, am i right?!). Plus, get in now and you’ll save significantly on your own Leg&Go bike once they go into production. The price is totally worth it considering how much balance it gives your kids, and the lengthy time you’ll be able to use it. Like I said, Balance Bikes are amazing, and this one is 8 times the fun!

That’s great news Sarah – definitely a must-have!
Can I purchase this bike in Australia.
Regards,
Jo
Hi Jo, you’ll have to reach out to the manufacturer to find that out. If not, I think wishbone bikes – wooden adjustable balance bikes – are available there and they’re gorgeous too!
