It’s probably amazing to anyone who doesn’t work in the toy industry, but there are days when this job is just soooo ….. just so like any other job. Annoying, boring, tedious, tiring.
And exasperating, oh let’s not forget that one.
And then I pull back, take a big picture moment, and realize something. It’s toys. How the heck could that be bad. This afternoon, I get to spend an hour brainstorming new ideas, and a couple hours drawing horses. This morning I was doing trend research on organic products – check out the brelli.
Seriously, what’s wrong with me for even questioning the loveliness of such endeavors? I caught myself complaining that I HAVE to design 10 new products for a line I thought was done for this launch. But instead, I should be happy to do more of what I’m good at. Designing.
