The plethora of school ads, supplies, lists, etc, has begun. I have a few years until I have to dive in with the rest of the parents out there, but I’m already viewing it very differently than I did a couple years ago. Amidst the Sunday ads, this contest caught my eyes. Sharpie is sponsoring Project Backpack – a design-your-own contest using canvas backpacks available at Office Depot. Though I’m not sure that a 7 year old will win the grand prize (though you never know) I can’t help but think this would be a great way to get a kid excited about school. Besides, who says you have to use their contest? Find a great canvas bag of any kind and go nuts.
