Today we’re taking a break from the regular world of kiddies. I’m rushing out the door to install my art show 4 hours away from here at the Macrostie Art Center. Should be a good little show, and I’m excited to get it up. But no, at first glance it has very little to do with my design enedeavors. Actually, it’s almost the opposite: where my designs have focused on making new objects, my artwork is looking to the problems with having too many objects (and other “things”) One helps the other, and vice versa. So in honor of art, and with a nod to toys, I’m going to highlight another artist, Kent Rogowski. All of his work is worth a gander, but I’m particularly taken with his bears. When I first saw them I slapped my forehead – why didn’t I think of that?
but I digress
