In my hunt for all things birthday, I came across a couple of finds. Though I’m actually amazed I didn’t amass a larger collection of options. But for a one year old, it’s hard to be anything but relatively practical (unless you’re Tori Spelling). Birdie really doesn’t mind if there isn’t a theme, or an elephant, or a strangely cool inflatable jumphouse.
However, I do think it’s rather important to let your child know that yes, on their birthday, they really are the star. If you’ve seen our birthday pictures, you’ve seen this lovely crown from Romp which I posted about here. But perhaps you want something a little less…. gold? flashy? crazy cool? Okay, I feel you Miz(ter) Minimalist. Because I also really enjoy this lovely little knitted crown. It reminds me a bit of Max from Where the Wild Things Are. Which is never a bad thing. And it’s simple enough for everyday Max-play, while also doubling (super-spy style) as the perfect party accessory.
