Every over-achiever parent (Ok, fine. That includes me.) considers how their child will interact with languages beyond their own. Immersion schools? Playdates/babysitting with our Japanese Friend? Maybe I need to brush up on my French? (beyond hello, goodbye, and maybe) Here’s a first step. Place one of these typography art prints in your child’s room – or hey, any room in the house that needs a little extra decor. And read daily. I know my Birdie loves to stare at all the artwork around our house (a particular favorite is a print of Kandinsky’s Concentric Circles!). Plus, black and white graphics are the perfect visual stimulation for your super young ones.
For the older kids – see if they can find the words hello and love hidden in the text.
