I found this book at one of my favorite local stores, Pacifier, they’re located here in the Twin Cities. And I’m now in looooove with this book, Quiet Loud, and it’s illustrator, Leslie Patricelli. The book is a really cute concept where every page features a quiet or loud activity. I end up reading the quiet pages of the book in a stage whisper with Birdie, and then fake shouting the loud ones. (who wouldn’t right?) She’s done a whole series of these books (yummy yucky, big little, and other books) But on top of that, I am mesmerized by her little images – they keep me totally occupied. I’m not sure if it’s the colors, or the underpainting showing through, or the color combos, or the hilarious diapered baby’s expressions. But everything is spot on. I now have to buy all of the books, and the puzzles. Right now. Check out Leslie’s website for some really cute online games and a couple of downloads. And just stare at those sweet little drawings with me!
