Curster is one of those little gems that I’ve loved for years – long before I wanted toys for my girl. This was more of a jealous love: while I was stuck designing toys for a company and pleasing my clients, Curster’s toys were always her own. I’m sure one might argue the merits of my job too – and there are many – but, you know, the grass is always greener! Regardless. Erin Currie’s Cursters are adorable, unusual, and just a tad bit creepy. Did I mention I love that? She’s been creating toys locally (yay Minneapolis!) by hand for years, you can see all of her creations – dolls, demons, apparel, prints, etc. – available at the Curster Website. Thanks to Birdie, I finally had the perfect excuse to buy one of her manufactured Yeti’s, and now Birdie is in love with Curster too!
