I think the coolest part about walking into Boon’s booth (which felt like a Minimalist’s playhouse of translucent windows scattered along a huge white box) was the super high-pile wormy bright orange carpet. It was hard to ignore, because all of the Boon staff were walking around barefoot – and looked so much more comfortable. I had the good luck of meeting with Rebecca Finnell, the founder of Boon, who walked me around their new products and explained all of the goodness for me. Lots of their classic Boon items are getting upgrades this year – sometimes it’s the colors, sometimes it’s the function. My favorite new introduction has got to be Boon’s new Nightlight, the Glo. Each ball changes colors based on a setting in the base – either slow fades to each or one color of your choice. But the best part? The balls are loose – so your kids can take them out, and let them glow in the dark wherever they need them most (like bedtime!). As their site says, it’s “95% effective at keeping monsters away all night long.”
Here’s a pic from their booth as well:
