I think I might have walked right by these silly toys if it wasn’t for my friend Lora who demonstrated their devious charms. It’s impossible to explain the cute factor of their little mouths without seeing them in person. Even the online videos can’t come close to explaining the fascination of Fisher-Price’s Sing-a-ma-jig toys. Each funky character is like Wallace & Gromit’s crazy friend coming to life in your hands. Their perfect little (finger-friendly!) mouths with teeth and tongue sing and babble in sweet little voices. You’ll be mesmerized, trust me.
Each toy has 3 modes: chatter, sing a song, or harmonize. They’re great fun individually, but combine them together and they harmonize as one – always in tune! Very cool for a music geek like me. Though I thought there might be some intelligent RFID going on (fancy talk for the toys’ abilities to “talk” to each other) I think their harmonize feature is a pre-recorded tune that matches with each other. But that doesn’t detract from their cool factor. Fisher-Price is expanding the collection, the new styles have swelled their ranks to 12! I’m trying to imagine how 12 of them would sound altogether? Creepy or cool?
(One note, these toys are age graded 3 and up. My almost 2 year old likes it, but she can’t always squeeze the tummy by herself.)

Oh goody! I’m glad you like them too, I think they’d make a great gift.
Sing-a-ma-jigs are great! They are so much fun and soooo addicting! I bought mine over at http://singamajigsstore.com. I didn’t see the new ones on that site. Anyone hear about the special Easter and Valentine Singamajigs? I bet they will be pretty cool too!
