Toideloi Stackhouse Modular Wooden Dollhouse

Wow, it’s been awhile since I did a link round-up, I kind of missed it! But, I wasn’t missing the title (you may remember it was usually “the great wide interwebs”) So, I might be playing around with the lingo for a couple of weeks until I settle on something.

So. How is your holiday season going? A little snow? A little hot apple cider? Some long winter’s nights? Yep, me too. The most impressive feat at our house is the Christmas Tree. That’s because it’s still in one piece. Birdie’s almost-two-year-old hands haven’t damaged a thing. There’s been a lot of standing and looking, with the mantra “we look, but we don’t touch”. And it’s worked. I’m rather amazed. Of course, now that I’ve broadcasted this I’ll turn around and find her in the middle, wrapped in Christmas lights. C’est la vie – because you can’t have Christmas without a Christmas tree in my house.

So let’s get to some links for the week, shall we? And share your favorite links in the comments!

  • (image above) I obviously have a big crush on dollhouses, so Kid Crave’s post on the Stackhouse Modular Dollhouse was the perfect OMG moment for me.
  • The in-laws want to do a DIY Snow Globe Gift Exchange this year. Suddenly I’m all about the glitter (I kind of like having an excuse for that, honestly!) So this coupon for 50% off any Martha Stewart Crafts item has piqued my glittery sensibilities. Via Cool Mom Picks.
  • Though I usually have Designer DIY Guilt when it comes to tags, wrapping, and cards, these simple graphic free downloads from West Elm may win me over yet. (especially since I’m always wrapping gifts at the eleventh hour)
  • This DIY Gift Guide from Mint overwhelmed me – every project had me excited, and there are bunches of them! I particularly like the DIY Fish Mobile, because it reminds me of the one that hung in Great Aunt Mabel’s sun porch.
  • I’ve reached that snooty point in my life where I like my Christmas to be a little … different than what’s available at Target. Let’s try these cards and prints from Tad Carpenter. Via Design Work Life.
  • Sometimes I just want to be the person that owns everything on Design for Mankind’s wishlists. Drool.

They look so easy – if I could find the time I’d make some too. Glad to help dear!

I know, it seems affordable until you start adding up all the pieces one would “need” (ok, “want”). I think you’re Plan Toys dollhouse will still be faaaabulous. I’d come visit it if I could ;)
