Another week? Really? It flew by again. Doesn’t it always seem like when finally you get things done, it turns out they’re never the things you were supposed to get done? Or, they were, but in the meantime ten more things you’re supposed to get done came and filled in that one empty spot you just cleared? Yep. The conundrum of modern life. It’s the same thing as I hate being busy, but when I’m not busy I hate being not busy. On the bright side, I’m taking a three-day weekend with my honey bunch, and our little wonder bird will be staying with my parents. So next week you’ll see me in a completely different mood! Well, one can hope.
In the meantime, Small for Big has been nominated for Ohdeedoh’s annual Homies Awards for Best Kids Design Blogs. Wanna help cement the deal? You should copy this: “Name: Small for Big URL: http://www.smallforbig.com” then click over to the homies page to follow the quick instructions. Two minutes of your time, probably less, to prove the popularity of Small for Big. Humor me.
This week’s link round up is full of innovative ideas and purty things – enough to keep you busy all weekend long!
- (image above) This Spoonful of Sugar project by Design Grad Student Leen Sadder is a lovely little moment of good design and random acts of kindness. I like the wit and whimsy so much. Via Design Work Life.
- The perfect roundup of pretty Valentine’s Crafts to get you started this year, thanks to Peter Piper Picked.
- A practical and timely (and slightly magical) Tape Trick to keep your toddlers in bed at night. I will be returning to this one shortly, as it’s about time we moved Birdie from crib to bed. Oh. My. Stars. Via Lil Magoolie.
- This Huggies diaper commercial popped my eyes out of my head. I don’t know how they did it (well, computers, obviously) but that kid and his mayhem just keeps going and going and going. His poses are hilarious – and the adults’ expressions feel way too familiar to me.
- The snow and super cold weather is becoming the stuff of legend around here this year (this winter will not be forgotten any time soon). It’s perfect weather for an indoor marshmallow craft like this one.
