Calm Down, Boris! Pop Up Hand Puppet Book

Birdie loves books. Her favorite book today happens to be a fat art book from my 3D Foundations class, full of black and white images of sculptures. One might say it’s beyond her? Nah, she flips through it just like I would, pausing for all the good pics, and I love that.

But, of course, sometimes a book with bells and whistles is much much more fun. For everyone involved. That’s when we pull out Calm Down, Boris! His super-furry puppet mouth swivels 360 degrees, allowing him to sweetly, gently, kiss everything in sight. Birdie pets him, smooths his hair, feeds him, feeds him, and feeds him. You get the picture. In return, Boris likes to give lots of “wet” sloppy smooches. The story itself is short and sweet, with it’s silly kisses-can-save-the-day message. Even better, thanks to our fabulous Aunt Wendy, we also get to chat with Boris’s pal, Wendy the Wide-mouthed Frog (and boy, does she have a loud mouth. At least when I read it!).

Boris looks like tons of fun and a great idea for helping a rambunctious kiddo calm down when it’s time for bed.
