Lil Magoolie handmade DIY crafty dollhouse inspiration

So… what did we do this week? We began some small attempts at potty training (well, I’ve been hinting and suggesting for months, this week we actually tried cotton training pants). I’ll just leave at that – if you’ve been through it, you know the  sticky situations (ewwwww). If you haven’t, you’ve got so much to look forward to! We’ve had some small successes, some very hilarious reactions, and the deck has been “christened”. Yep. That’s my week in a nutshell.

This week’s top picks:

  • (image above) What an amazing DIY dollhouse found by Maddie over at Lil’Magoolie. We have an old dollhouse waiting for my tender loving care, and this is just the inspiration I needed.
  • This cool melted crayon art has been quite the popular post over at Pinterest this week. Wonder if there’s a safe way to let a kid near a heat gun? Guessing not. Hairdryer maybe? hmmm.
  • Need some summer crafty ideas for you and yours? Check out the fun virtual summer camp round up over at Modern Parents Messy Kids. I’d like to try every single one.
  • Beautiful, soothing animation and music, I found Small Wonderland by Keitaro Sugihara, thanks to Petite Eco Kids. Thanks for sharing this video – it’s lovely.
  • I’m a sucker for anything including the words “smart” and “kids” (except VTech), and though we all probably know these things, the Top 7 Secrets to Raising Smarter Kids has some easy and practical tips that won’t turn you into the PSAT equivalent of Toddlers and Tiaras. via Baby Center.
  • Top phrase around our house as of late? “I DO IT!”. Sound familiar, fellow toddler parents? Then this kind and caring list of how-to-deals will be very useful: Navigating Toddler’s Newfound Independence via babble.com.

That doll house really is amazing! I have a great midcentury one that I need to get from my parent’s place!

Really?! How cool is that. I have a more traditional (but very gorgeous) wooden Victorian waiting at my parents’ house … It’s a good thing Birdie is too young, because we don’t have the room for it here!
