Modern Contemporary Cool Best Winnie the Pooh Stuffed Animals

What a week! Minnesota has been experiencing a heat wave that even has me a little flustered: the heat indexes have soared over 105 degrees for several days in a row, all thanks to humidity levels like a jungle. Now the humidity has broken, and though my hair is straight, eating outside at our favorite restaurant for dinner on Thursday night was certainly a wonderful way to jump into our weekend. We’re taking a long weekend and spending today together as a fam, which also has me mighty excited. Summer is only summer when all the little things align: time with family, a little outdoor strolling, playground time for the kidlet, and a leisurely schedule. We had all of that last weekend with my extended family in my hometown, and this weekend with my own little family of husband, Birdie, and me. I’m loving every second of it.

Meanwhile, in browsers all over the web, your top links for the week:

  • (image above) We’re debating introducing the new Winnie the Pooh and a Big Amazing Real Live Movie Theater to our 2.5 year old. But the only Pooh products I’m interested in bringing into our house are these beautes from Atsuyo et Akiko, found via Buy Modern Baby.
  • Oh. My. God. I love the idea of temporary tattoos, as wanna-be/poser as they may be, they’re still deliciously fun. Especially for kiddos. Now you can get the coolest ones I’ve ever seen thanks to Tattly Temporary Tattoos. My daughter may turn into the Tattooed Lady very soon. Via CMYBacon.
  • The tumblr blog Read With Mother features weathered vintage children’s books and quirky quotes to go with them. Lots of visual fun. Found via Junior Society.
  • Now this may be the perfect way to play with Legos, an all-in-one storage bag and playmat with a humongo drawstring, called the Swoop Bag. We may need one, you? via Kid Crave.
  • I’ve been half-heartedly looking for a new hanging lamp to live next to Birdie’s big girl bed. Kenzie Poo’s find, the Design Barend Hemmes Lamp, has me itching to make a decision. What do you think?

Took my 2.5 year old daughter (and 4.5 yr old son and 2 month old-PHEW!) to Winnie the Pooh and she really liked it. It’s nice b/c it’s pretty short.

Cool! I’m going to put it on my too-hot-to-go-outside list of backup plans for next week!
