Little girls can have their fashionista moments. Unfortunately they may not gel with our own ideas of fashion! Birdie’s favorites currently tend to revolve around “princess twirly” dresses and a dash of sparkle I don’t mind encouraging some self-confidence in what she’s wearing and how she feels about it, luckily we’re finding some happy compromises. You’d be amazed what her definition of “princess twirly” is: it’s much broader and less culturally prescribed than mine.
But boy howdy do I wish she’d take a liking to these amazing geometric fashions from Neezapodoma. The Minima dresses are like a perfect piece of origami – and the back view with that angular racerback is killing me with it’s gorgeous lines (you can see the back view at the bottom of this post)!
Maybe the way to approach the topic is by giving the dress a little extra whimsy. You can make Neezapodoma’s dresses into playthings by adding on one of the separate bunnies, foxes, or deer thanks to an ingenius snap system. That’s probably the best way to sell this high-fashion look to your pre-K kid: with the cute animal toy factor.
