Birdie and I have been working on upping her game-playing know-how. In fact, we were playing checkers the other day! It’s so much fun to watch her gears turning, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Of course, then she wanted to play again. Ooph. But, though she may be ready for checkers – with some help – these amazing games from Funny Bone Toys are probably beyond her reach for now.
I keep dreaming of future family game nights, when we can all sit down together and play games that keep us engaged with each other. These games look like a perfect fit for that. My favorite, of course, is Spectrix, because it’s completely based on color theory! But, Array’s smack-down description has me extra intrigued, and Cubu might be a good game for my more analytical husband. All in all, I think we’ll need all three some day. But for now, I’m off to play another game of checkers (with Queens, not Kings, per Birdie’s instructions!)
