DIY Christmas Ornaments - Artterro Ornaments Kit - Ornament Craft for Kids | Small for Big

It never used to occur to me that we could add amazing decorations to our Christmas tree by making them. That sounds so funny now doesn’t it? With things like Pinterest and Martha Stewart around, I should have been itching to make fresh ornaments every year! Well, this year I’m making up for my slack, and these Ornament Ladies are my new favorites.

Using Artterro’s Collage Decoration Kit made this project super fun and relatively easy. All the “ingredients” i needed were in the kit – ezxcept for my golden paint marker and a little white paint. Now I can’t wait to get Birdie in on the fun and see what kind of decoupage ornaments she’ll make!

What you’ll need:

What you’ll do:

  1. Really all you need to do is follow the suggestions in the kit. I began with watered down school glue and layered tissue papers from the kit into patterns. Let the paper and glue dry.
  2. Add white paint to create the faces.
  3. Then use markers to draw on eyes, mouth, etc.
  4. You can coat your ornaments in the clear glaze from the kit to give them a finished shine.
  5. Then decorate!
