There are toys being made that don’t fit into our preconceived ideas of what a toy is all about. It takes some innovative thinking to really step back and look at what it means to be a plaything.
Ember Design has created a toy that may, at first glance, look like a railroad car. But then you see what it’s capable of, and the rearrangeable pieces, and the fact that it flips upside down, opens up, and changes functions, and you realize it’s anything but a railroad car! But I’m betting that kids don’t see the limitations the way we do. Kids are much better at taking any object and using it in ways we can never expect.
