Wow, this is an unusual maze, rattle, and thing-a-ma-jig all in one. This quirky rattle, the Spring-a-ling from Educo, looks a lot like my brain does right now. Balancing momhood and blogging and freelance designing and household junk and life and everything else is never-ending. There was a point a couple of weeks ago when I began feverishly searching for a piece of software that would manage it all for me. Then I realized that I would have to plug it all in first. So now, like this toy, I’m going for a more zen approach – along with a tablet full of semi-organized to-do lists. I guess I’m like my dad. When my parents came to visit on Friday, his shirt pocket had probably 15 slips of paper in it with various notes scribbled in every direction. Birdie promptly pulled them out, scattered them all over the floor, and began putting them in piles like they were her newest blocks. I think she is one of us after all.
